School Community Board

The Chair of our School Community Board is Kim Baker and can be contacted in writing through Newport Community School Primary Academy, Landkey Road, Barnstaple, Devon EX32 9BW.

The Tarka Learning partnership is a registered company at Companies House.  An annual financial record is compiled each year and sent out to parents and relevant community partners.  This statement is available through the school office and the Trusts website.

The School Community Board is responsible for ensuring that the school provides the best possible education for the children, and to see that it fulfills all the requirements laid down by law.  Our School Community Board is made up of both parents, staff and community members.

Parent representatives are elected by the parents of children at the school, and teacher and non-teaching staff representatives by their colleagues. Elections are held every four years, unless a vacancy arises.
