Y1 started their theme 'changes' with a fun afternoon in the Go Wild. We introduced what history was and begun to think about how have changed through the children's lives, their parent's lives and their grandparent's lives. We looked at log slices to work out how old the trees were and considered the age of the trees in the Go Wild. Would the trees have looked the same 50 years ago?
To complete the fun afternoon, we talked about fire safety ahead of bonfire night and the children demonstrated safe behaviour and risk management around a campfire to toast a marshmallow each.
