On Friday 27th September, the school was buzzing with excitement about Global Goals for Sustainable Development Day 2019! This is an annual event for Newport, where we take part in ‘The World’s Largest Lesson’ and learn about the UN’s Global Goals for Sustainable Development. This year, we linked it to European Day of Languages, for a double-whammy of a Global event!
Each year group focused on a goal of their choosing, with Year Six learning about 'Goal 11: Sustainable cities and communities' and 'Year Three learning about Goal 15: Life on land', to give just two examples. The children had a fun day, while learning how they can make a difference in the world.
