In Art lessons, children are encouraged to develop and express their ideas creatively, developing skills in drawing, painting, printmaking, textiles, photography and sculpture. 

Children are given opportunities to discuss and review their own and others’ artwork, expressing their thoughts and feelings about them. Through their time in school, children explore the works of a range of artists, craft makers, architects and designers. 

Art is often a key part of Learning Explorations, enabling children to present their learning outcomes in a creative, visual way. Visits from local artists are encouraged where they link with children’s learning in Art.
